I observed when my rabbits saw or heard my neighbor’s dog, they acted suddenly, jumping in fear state same like falling or jumping from high places.

Why Do Rabbits Jump Straight Up in The Air

Usually, the rabbits do not walk; they are mini-jumping from one place to another.

So, sometimes they can straight up jump vertically in the air to show their joyful feeling to fellow rabbits while playing with each other by communication.

Now, the question for cute and small rabbits is, why does my bunny randomly jump? Yup, in rare cases, they can do it.

But normally, the small rabbits can not jump because of health, age, and size.

Yup, these are in standing in the air by doing jumps due to fear, having no more practice, and having no strength.
